Australia is now home to the world’s most beautiful airport landing, according to a recent ranking.
The honor goes to Lord Howe Island Airport, located on a crescent-shaped island about 700 kilometers off the coasts of both Sydney and Brisbane.
Measuring just 11 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide, Lord Howe Island hosts the shortest runway in Australia, at only 886 meters.
Despite its size, the airport offers a breathtaking approach, surrounded by lush green mountains and the sparkling blue waters of the Tasman Sea.
Queenstown Airport in New Zealand took second place in the rankings, followed by Madeira Airport in Portugal and Pitkin County Airport in the United States in third and fourth place, respectively.
Lord Howe Island’s stunning natural beauty makes every landing an unforgettable experience.
