A tragic incident occurred at Mapleton Falls in Queensland, where a 36-year-old woman died after falling 80 metres from the waterfall.
Emergency services responded to the scene yesterday afternoon but were unable to save her.
Doctors confirmed that she died at the scene due to significant injuries.
An 18-year-old man, who was also at the location, was taken to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries.
Queensland Police have stated that her death is not being treated as suspicious.
This marks the third fatality at a Sunshine Coast waterfall this year.
