Wildlife officer opens her home to kangaroos rescued from forest fires

In Victoria, the rapid spread of wildfires across 74,000 hectares has forced many wild animals to seek refuge in urban areas. Wildlife guardians have stepped in to provide shelter for these animals, who are left helpless due to the fires.

In response to this crisis, a dedicated wildlife officer took in 20 kangaroos, offering them safety within her home.

This gesture is part of a broader effort by wildlife caretakers to protect animals affected by the fires.

Unfortunately, many animals, especially those living in trees, have perished in the blaze.

With more animals now on the roads seeking shelter, drivers are being urged to exercise caution while traveling in fire-affected areas.
