Wildfire puts several Melbourne areas at risk

A wildfire broke out 300 kilometers west of Melbourne last night (29th), spreading rapidly in multiple directions.

Authorities issued warnings this morning (30th) to residents in Glenisla, Mooralla, Rocklands, and Woohlpooer, urging them to remain vigilant.

The Victorian State Emergency Service reported that while the wildfire is now under control, areas along the western border between Hoffmans and Woohlpooer roads may still be affected.

As a precaution, the highway from Cavendish to Horsham has been closed.

Fire brigade teams continue efforts to fully contain the situation and prevent further spread.
