
Massive volunteer operations are currently underway across Sri Lanka to support families displaced and stranded by the floods.
Community groups, temples, kovils, mosques, churches, restaurants, and ordinary citizens have united to cook meals, deliver essential supplies, and reach those isolated by rising waters.
According to the Disaster Management Centre, 833,985 people from 234,503 families across 25 districts have been severely affected by the ongoing adverse weather conditions.
