Teachers and education support staff in Victoria’s public schools may take further strike action as frustration grows over the government’s latest pay and conditions offer.

Around 58 per cent of teachers rejected the proposed agreement last month, while a survey seeking feedback for a new offer was closed earlier than expected.

Some teacher groups are now calling for fresh industrial action to begin in August, demanding improvements beyond salary increases.

They want smaller class sizes, reduced workloads, and better working conditions included in the new agreement.

However, negotiations between the Victorian Government and teacher representatives are continuing.

A new proposal is expected to be discussed at a union meeting scheduled for July 17.
