Victoria is turning up the volume on live music, with more than $640,000 in funding announced for 16 festivals across the state.

The funding is part of Round 3 of the Victorian Government’s Live Music Festivals Fund, aimed at supporting artists, crews and local communities.

Major recipients include the Port Fairy Folk Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival, alongside newer events such as LuliePalooza in Abbotsford and The DOT electronic festival in Footscray.

The funding will also support regional festivals, including events in communities affected by the 2026 bushfires, such as Castlemaine and Tallarook.

The program will back diverse events, including First Peoples-led festivals, disability-led initiatives and festivals celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities.

The Victorian Government says the investment will strengthen the state’s music industry, create local jobs and help maintain Victoria’s reputation as Australia’s live music capital.
