Notorious underworld figure and alleged drug trafficker Manoj Suranga, also known as “Batuwatte Chamara,” has been brought back to Sri Lanka after being arrested in Azerbaijan, police said.
A team of Sri Lankan police officers had travelled to Azerbaijan on May 7 to facilitate the repatriation of the wanted suspect.
According to reports, the officers and the suspect arrived in Sri Lanka this evening on a flight from Dubai.
