The Manchester Breast Cancer Centre in Britain is launching a major initiative to find a cure for breast cancer.
The research is expected to take five years and will require an investment of £20 million.
The centre highlighted the challenges in detecting Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC), the most common type of breast cancer worldwide.
Mammograms and ultrasounds often fail to identify ILC in its early stages, leading many patients to discover the disease only after significant tumor growth.
Research shows that around 1,000 women worldwide are diagnosed with ILC breast cancer every day.
Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that the government has allocated over $12 million this year to support cancer patients.
