
Two suspects have been arrested in Kiribathgoda in connection with the robbery of gold jewelry worth Rs. 6 million, which involved the assault of a victim in the Ganemulla Police Division.
The arrests were made following a special investigation by officers from the Western Province North Crime Division.
The suspects, aged 17 and 20, are residents of the Kendaliyaddapaluwa and Ganemulla areas.
During interrogation, authorities recovered two gold biscuits prepared by melting down the stolen items, weighing 121 grams and 350 milligrams, and 17 grams and 15 milligrams.
The Western Province North Crime Division is continuing its investigation into the incident.
