Two students hospitalized after car accident outside school

Two school students have been hospitalized after being hit by a car in Canberra.

According to police, a green Holden Commodore station wagon struck the St Edmund’s College students near their school on Canberra Avenue in Griffith this morning.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The same car continued along the road, crashing into other vehicles before coming to a stop near the Manuka shops.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is under police guard.

Sections of the road remain closed as police continue their investigation into the incident.
