Two members of notorious organised criminal gangs wanted in connection with multiple homicide cases were repatriated to Sri Lanka from Dubai early this morning (January 16), police said.
A woman who was apprehended alongside the suspects in Dubai was also brought back to the country. Police said she is a resident of Mount Lavinia and was wanted over the alleged misappropriation of state funds.
All three were taken into custody upon arrival at the airport, and further investigations are currently underway.
