Airport authorities on Sunday advised passengers travelling through Bandaranaike International Airport to use the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway, as several access roads remain flooded due to adverse weather conditions across the country.
Officials noted that the expressway currently offers the safest and most reliable route to reach the airport.
Passengers were also requested not to bring visitors into the terminal to help reduce congestion during the ongoing weather emergency.
Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd. stated that it is working to maintain normal operations despite the challenging conditions and appealed for the public’s cooperation.
