
The Ministry of Transport has unveiled a plan to address the backlog of 130,000 driving licenses by January 2025.
This initiative will involve streamlining operations through an online system, aligning with the government’s goal to modernize public services using advanced technology.
Deputy Ministers of Transport and Highways, Prasanna Kumara Gunasena, and Ports and Aviation, Janitha Ruwan Kodithuwakku, announced the plan during an inspection of the Department of Motor Traffic in Werahera.
These measures aim to improve efficiency and ensure faster service delivery to the public.
