
Sri Lanka recorded 165,193 tourist arrivals in October 2025, marking a 21.5% increase compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India remained the leading source market with 48,113 visitors, accounting for 29.1% of total arrivals. The United Kingdom followed with 12,934 tourists, while 11,496 visitors arrived from Russia, 10,864 from China, and 9,753 from Germany.
With the latest figures, total tourist arrivals for 2025 have reached 1,890,687. Of these, 423,405 were from India, 174,827 from the UK, 133,640 from Russia, and 116,741 from Germany, the SLTDA reported.
