
A total of 174,608 tourists visited Sri Lanka in April 2025, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
This represents a 17.3% increase compared to the number of arrivals in March 2024.
As a result, the total number of tourist arrivals in the first four months of 2025 has reached 896,884.
Among the source markets, India accounted for the largest share, contributing 22.2% of the total, with 38,744 visitors.
Other significant contributors included the United Kingdom with 17,348 visitors, Russia with 13,525, Germany with 11,654, and Australia with 10,744 tourists in April.
