
A total of 99,406 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka so far in August, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
Of this number, 19,572 visitors were from India, making up 19.7% of total arrivals. The figures also include 10,970 from the United Kingdom, 7,641 from Italy, 6,870 from France, and 6,762 from China.
With the addition of August’s figures, total tourist arrivals for 2025 have reached 1,467,694.
Among these, 268,694 visitors were from India, 142,347 from the UK, and 117,322 from Russia, the SLTDA reported.
