Australia has been included among the countries granting the most work visas in 2026, based on its laws aimed at attracting skilled foreign workers.
During the 2024-2025 financial year, Australia set a quota of 150,000 skilled worker visas but ended up issuing about 185,000 visas.
Analysts suggest that Australia’s visa system is being restructured to allow those on temporary skilled worker visas to gain permanent residency.
Health professionals, engineers, IT specialists, and agricultural workers are among the main beneficiaries of Australia’s skilled visa program.
Other countries included in the report for granting the most work visas in 2026 are the United States, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
