The study revealed that Australians favor debit cards, placing Australia 7th in the ranking.
Canada secured the top spot, with findings showing that the average Canadian owns more than two credit cards.
Sweden came in second, followed by England in third and France in fourth.
The United States ranked fifth in the list.
