Tony Blair Institute to dupport four key Sri Lankan institutions

A high-level discussion was held at the Presidential Secretariat between Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, and officials from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.

According to a statement from the President’s Media Division (PMD), the meeting aimed to identify the new government’s priorities and express support for their effective implementation.

The discussion focused on reviewing key programmes under the Ministry of Digital Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, Export Development Board, and Board of Investment.

The purpose was to assess these institutions’ strategic objectives and explore potential avenues for financial and technical assistance.

As part of their commitment, officials from the Tony Blair Institute agreed to visit each ministry to observe programmes firsthand and offer targeted support.

Senior government officials and representatives from the Tony Blair Institute participated in the meeting, including Managing Director of Asia Pacific Advisory Jaleel Rashid and Head of Government Relations Anna Aden.

Other attendees included top-level directors and secretaries from relevant ministries and agencies involved in agriculture, digital economy, exports, and investment.

The collaboration marks a step forward in aligning international expertise with national development priorities.
