A three-year-old boy who died after a devastating fire destroyed his family home in Melbourne’s south-west has been remembered as a “ball of energy”.

Emergency services received multiple calls shortly after midnight reporting a house fire in Werribee, about 32 kilometres south-west of Melbourne.
Neighbours rushed to the scene and helped three family members escape through the backyard as flames quickly engulfed the single-storey home.
However, three-year-old Jordan Dashwood could not be rescued.
His grandmother, Tracie, said firefighters were unable to reach him due to the intensity of the flames and extreme heat inside the house.
Jordan’s father, 39, sustained serious burns after jumping from a window and making his way to an ambulance for urgent treatment.
Jordan’s mother, 40, and his 11-year-old brother managed to escape the blaze safely.
More than 40 firefighters and over 10 fire trucks attended the scene and brought the fire under control after about an hour before entering the home for a search.
Police later confirmed that the child was found deceased inside the property after the fire was fully extinguished.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, with an arson chemist expected to examine the scene, although it is not currently being treated as suspicious.
