A tragic incident occurred at San Remo Beach in southern Victoria, where a woman died and another person is missing after being swept away by a wave.
Around 8.30 a.m., two women and a man were caught in the wave near Phillip Island.
One of the women managed to swim to shore and was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
The second woman was found dead in the water during a police helicopter search.
Police are continuing to search for the missing man, with emergency crews still active at the scene.
