Three teenagers were rescued after being swept away by strong currents while sea bathing at Mount Lavinia Beach, police reported.
The incident occurred yesterday and officers from the Police Lifeguard Unit quickly intervened to save the teenagers.
The rescued individuals, all aged 16, were given initial first aid by the lifeguards.
The teenagers are residents of Wellampitiya, Katukurunda, and Hokandara.
