The Government Radiological Technologists’ Association (GRTA) has reported that three MRI scanners at the Colombo National Hospital are currently out of service.
GRTA President Chanaka Dharmawickrama stated that only one MRI scanner is operational at the hospital.
Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo, he highlighted that this situation has caused significant disruptions to patient care services.
Dharmawickrama also revealed that a machine purchased a year ago to break kidney stones at Kandy National Hospital has yet to be put into use by authorities.
He urged officials to take immediate action to resolve these critical issues at hospitals nationwide.
