Texas floods kill 43, many still missing

Authorities have confirmed that 43 people, including 15 children, have died due to flash floods in central Texas.

Rescue operations are still underway as several campers, vacationers, and residents remain missing.

More than 850 people have been rescued, some found clinging to trees, as torrential rains triggered sudden flooding.

The storm dumped up to 15 inches of rain around the Guadalupe River, located about 85 miles northwest of San Antonio.

Emergency crews continue to search the flood-hit area amid challenging weather conditions and rising water levels.
