
Tesla is recalling nearly all of its Cybertrucks after discovering that an exterior trim panel was falling off, creating hazardous driving conditions. This marks the eighth recall for the model.
The recall affects approximately 46,000 vehicles produced between 13th of November 2023, and 27th of February 2024. Tesla reported that only about 1 percent of the vehicles were defective but is recalling all units as a precaution.
As of 14th ofMarch Tesla had identified 151 warranty claims potentially related to the trim panel issue. However, the company stated it was “not aware of any collisions, fatalities, or injuries” linked to the defect.
This recall is one of the largest for the Cybertruck, which has faced other issues such as loss of drive power, windshield wiper malfunctions, and accelerator pedal problems. Cybertrucks are priced between $80,000 and $100,000, depending on customization.
