The Department of Motor Traffic announced today (30th) that temporary driver’s licences issued during the renewal process will now be available through the National Transport Medical Institute in Nugegoda.
The initiative, which begins as a pilot project, allows applicants to collect their temporary licence directly from the Nugegoda institute if no changes are needed to their existing licence.
The Department further confirmed that applicants will no longer need to visit the Werahera Motor Traffic Office for this purpose.
