A 15-year-old boy has died after he was found with fatal stab wounds outside a medical centre in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Craigieburn.

Hospital staff and paramedics attempted to save the teenager, but he died at the scene.

Victoria Police’s Homicide Squad has launched an investigation, with a 16-year-old boy charged with murder and remanded in custody.

Authorities are also examining whether a burnt-out car discovered nearby is connected to the fatal attack.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
