Sydney flight searched following bomb threat

A 44-year-old Brisbane man has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat made on a flight.

The suspect was traveling from Sydney Airport to Brisbane on 14th of January when he made the threat during the flight using an assumed name.

Sydney Military Police arrested him after the phone call was traced, and he was removed from the plane.

Authorities later confirmed that no bomb was found during a search of the aircraft.

The man has been charged with making a threatening statement on a plane and traveling under an assumed name.

He is scheduled to appear in Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney today.
