Supreme Court dismisses petitions filed by Keheliya Rambukwella’s family

The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has dismissed three petitions filed by family members of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, seeking to overturn a Colombo High Court order that froze their assets.

The asset freeze was imposed in connection with an investigation by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

After considering the preliminary facts of the case, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, chaired by Justice Janak de Silva, ordered the dismissal of the petitions.
