
A survey conducted by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne has revealed that half of Australian children are expected to be obese by 2050.
The study highlights that Australian children and young people are currently undergoing some of the fastest increases in obesity rates.
Researchers also forecast that 1.6 million children will be overweight by 2050.
The Melbourne research team further predicts that one in six children globally will experience obesity by the same year.
