SriLankan Airlines’ new airbus A330-200 to arrive in Colombo this week

SriLankan Airlines’ new Airbus A330-200 is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, 4th of June 2025, on its delivery flight from Paris.

As part of its arrival, the aircraft will conduct a low-altitude flyover along the Colombo shoreline at 1,500 feet, visible from the southern edge of Port City to Moratuwa, before landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

The airline announced that an additional fly-past over BIA will take place just before touchdown, offering aviation enthusiasts a rare chance to witness the aircraft in action.

The new A330-200 is expected to enhance SriLankan Airlines’ fleet and support both long-haul and short-haul operations, further strengthening the country’s international connectivity.
