SriLankan Airlines has delayed plans to increase the number of flights between Colombo and Melbourne.

The airline had previously planned to increase services from seven to ten flights a week, starting August 2, 2026.
However, according to its updated flight schedule released in July, the expansion has now been postponed until November 15, 2026.
From that date, SriLankan Airlines plans to add three additional flights, bringing the total to ten services per week.
The expanded schedule is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers travelling between Sri Lanka and Melbourne.
However, SriLankan Airlines has not yet issued an official explanation for the delay.
