Mr. Sarath Ganegoda has stepped down as Chairman of SriLankan Airlines Limited and SriLankan Catering Limited, with his resignation taking effect from March 31, 2026.
The airline announced that Mr. A.K.D.D. Dimal Arandara will assume duties as Acting Chairman of both entities until a new Chairman is appointed by the Secretary to the Treasury.
Meanwhile, Director Mr. Rohan Goonetilleke has also resigned from the Boards of SriLankan Airlines Limited and SriLankan Catering Limited.
The Board and Management expressed their sincere appreciation for the significant contributions made by Mr. Sarath Ganegoda and Mr. Rohan Goonetilleke during their tenure.
Following these changes, the Board of SriLankan Airlines now consists of Mr. A.K.D.D. Dimal Arandara (Acting Chairman and Treasury Representative), Flt./ Lt. (retd.) Sugath Rajapakse, Mr. Vipula Gunatilleka, Dr. Harsha Cabral, PC, Mr. Dumith Fernando, and Mr. Senarath Liyanage.
Similarly, the Board of SriLankan Catering comprises Mr. A.K.D.D. Dimal Arandara (Acting Chairman and Treasury Representative), Flt./ Lt. (retd.) Sugath Rajapakse, Mr. Vipula Gunatilleka, Dr. Harsha Cabral, PC, and Mr. Dumith Fernando.
The airline confirmed that all these changes will come into effect from March 31, 2026.
