Flight UL 404 to Bangkok took off with an all-female crew, led by Captain Madini Wijesinghe, marking a significant milestone for SriLankan Airlines in celebrating International Women’s Day.

The flight, which carried 130 passengers, departed from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and arrived in Bangkok, underscoring the airline’s ongoing efforts to promote gender equality within the industry.
The crew also made their return journey to Colombo on the same day, emphasizing SriLankan Airlines’ progressive stance in empowering women in traditionally male-dominated fields.
