SriLankan Airlines’ cabin crew recruitment drive attracts 12,000 applicants

SriLankan Airlines has launched a major recruitment campaign to expand its cabin crew team, receiving nearly 12,000 applications in response to its public call.

The drive comes as part of the airline’s broader expansion strategy to meet growing passenger demand and strengthen its presence in emerging markets.

Shortlisted candidates have been invited to the next stage of the selection process, which will take place from 20th of May to 23rd of May at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

This phase includes document verification, image and presentation assessments, and aptitude interviews by a panel of experts.

Candidates who successfully pass all stages will proceed to final interviews at the airline’s Katunayake headquarters, where the final selections will be made.

Susan Jacob, Group Head of Human Resources, highlighted the importance of identifying individuals who embody the spirit of Sri Lanka and can provide world-class service.

Ravi Samarasinghe, Senior Manager of Cabin Services, noted that the recruitment will support not only the airline’s strategic goals but also Sri Lanka’s tourism sector by strengthening operations and boosting the national economy.
