

Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets increased by 1.6% in May 2026, reaching US$6.873 billion, according to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).

The reserves rose from US$6.766 billion at the end of April 2026, marking an increase of US$107 million within a month.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka noted that the official reserve assets figure includes proceeds from a swap arrangement with the People’s Bank of China.
