
Sri Lankan badminton player Nadeesha Gayanthi returned home to a warm after delivering an outstanding performance at the 108th All England Senior Badminton Championship held in England.
The tournament took place in London from April 10 to 12, featuring around 400 representing 25 countries, highlighting its strong international competitiveness.
Gayanthi secured the gold medal in the women’s over-40 singles category and also claimed a silver medal in the mixed doubles event, marking a significant achievement for Sri Lanka on the global badminton stage.
She arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on the morning of April 15, traveling via Emirates flight EK-650 from Dubai, at approximately 8:20 a.m.
