Sri Lanka’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for September 2025 showed positive growth across both the manufacturing and services sectors.
According to the latest report released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the Manufacturing PMI rose to 55.4 in September, while the Services PMI increased to 58.7.
The CBSL attributed the rise in the Manufacturing PMI to improvements in all sub-indices except employment, which did not contribute positively to the overall growth.
