The Synergy Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Pvt) Ltd factory, located in the Bingiriya Export Processing Zone, is now in its final stages of construction.
Minister of Health Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa visited the facility on 7th of June to inspect its progress.
Despite still being under construction, the factory has already commenced initial production activities.
Upon completion, it is expected to become the largest western pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Sri Lanka.
The project is a major milestone in boosting the country’s capacity for domestic pharmaceutical production.
