As of 9:00 AM today, several locations in Sri Lanka are experiencing air quality levels ranging from unhealthy to moderate, according to the Central Environmental Authority (CEA).
The CEA reports that Dambulla, Jaffna, and Mullaitivu have recorded unhealthy air quality, while Kurunegala, Colombo, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa are facing moderate conditions.
In contrast, air quality in Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota has improved and returned to normal, the CEA stated.
With air quality deteriorating in certain areas, the CEA has urged individuals with pre-existing health conditions, particularly those vulnerable to pollution, to seek medical attention if they experience difficulty breathing.
