Sri Lankans must continue striving for full freedom, which can only be achieved by strengthening the rule of law, Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said yesterday.
“Rule of law is essential to achieve complete freedom,” Cardinal Ranjith said in a special message marking Independence Day. He added that the current situation in the country shows that Sri Lanka has made limited progress in economic, political, social, and cultural spheres.
