New Vithanakande Ceylon Black Tea (FFExSp) has made history by entering the Guinness World Records as the most expensive tea ever sold, elevating the global profile of Ceylon Tea.

“This is not just a win for New Vithanakande, but a global spotlight on the unmatched quality, heritage, and craftsmanship of Ceylon Tea,” said Pubudu Gunasekera, COO of New Vithanakande Tea Factory.
He congratulated everyone behind the milestone, calling it a proud moment for Sri Lanka and proof that local excellence can achieve world-class recognition.
