Sri Lanka’s passport has climbed to 94th place in the latest Henley Passport Index, marking its highest ranking since 2014.

The ranking reflects improved global travel access for Sri Lankan passport holders.

Sri Lanka was ranked 107th in 2021, showing a significant improvement over the past five years.

Meanwhile, Australia’s passport is ranked sixth in the world, remaining among the most powerful travel documents globally.

Australian passport holders can enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 185 destinations worldwide.

The latest rankings highlight the growing gap in global travel freedom between the world’s strongest and weaker passports.
