Toronto Police have arrested a Sri Lankan influencer and charged him with four counts of criminal harassment following a series of alleged incidents involving the non-consensual filming of strangers in public spaces.

Police claim the 45-year-old repeatedly approached individuals across Toronto and filmed them in ways that caused significant discomfort. He was taken into custody on December 10, 2025, and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 4, 2026.

According to police reports, one incident occurred on June 8, 2025, near Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street, where a woman confronted the accused for filming her without consent. Officers say he became confrontational, continued the harassment, and ignored security instructions to leave before departing the scene prior to police arrival.

In another incident on August 21, 2025, at Union Station, the accused allegedly filmed a TTC employee without consent and made harassing remarks about the individual’s ethnicity. A third incident on September 27, 2025, at David Pecaut Square reportedly involved him filming a person in a queue and becoming confrontational when asked to stop.

Police also allege that on May 26, 2025, he approached a female police officer at the intersection of Yonge Street and Shuter Street, filming her and making inappropriate comments about her appearance.

Toronto Police have released the suspect’s image and believe there may be additional victims. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Toronto Police Service or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers. Under Canadian law, criminal harassment carries a potential penalty of up to 10 years in prison if prosecuted by indictment.
