A total of 88,221 tourists have visited the country so far in April, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
The figures show that 25,634 arrivals were from India, making up 29.0% of the total. In addition, 7,672 visitors came from the United Kingdom, 7,351 from Australia, 6,333 from China, and 4,682 from Russia during April.
In comparison, Sri Lanka recorded 174,608 tourist arrivals in April 2025.
Meanwhile, total tourist arrivals for 2026 have reached 828,845 based on the latest February data. Of this number, 172,907 visitors were from India, 86,092 from the United Kingdom, and 70,600 from Russia, according to the SLTDA.
