
Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues its strong recovery, with total tourist arrivals surpassing 700,000 so far this year.
Between March 1 and March 22 alone, the country welcomed 136,089 visitors, reflecting steady and sustained travel demand.
India remained the leading source market, contributing 135,070 arrivals during this period.
In addition to India, Sri Lanka also attracted a significant number of tourists from key markets such as the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, and China.
These figures highlight the island’s growing global appeal and the continued revival of its tourism industry.
