Sri Lanka Tourism is set to showcase the country’s uniqueness, cultural diversity, and warm hospitality through a series of Nordic roadshows scheduled from 8th to 11th of September 2025.
According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), the roadshows will take place across Scandinavia — in Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden — along with a consumer promotion event in Stockholm.
These initiatives are part of SLTPB’s 2025 international promotional calendar aimed at regaining market confidence, strengthening trade linkages, and repositioning Sri Lanka as a high-value tourism destination.
The Sri Lankan delegation will include leading industry stakeholders, holiday and travel partners, 20–25 Sri Lankan DMCs and hotels, as well as officials from Sri Lanka Tourism. The program will feature B2B roadshows to build stronger business partnerships with international counterparts, along with evening networking workshops, destination presentations, one-on-one meetings, and cultural highlights.
The Stockholm Consumer Promotion (B2C event) will include open-air cultural shows, fashion and dance performances, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, handicrafts, tea, and spices, giving visitors an immersive experience of the island. The goal of this event is to reinforce Sri Lanka’s image as a vibrant destination and restore consumer confidence post-crisis.
Sri Lanka Tourism has already reached a significant milestone of 1.5 million tourist arrivals this year and has earned multiple international endorsements as one of the world’s top travel destinations. The upcoming roadshows will also introduce new tourism products, including wellness, adventure, culture, and community-based experiences, catering to modern travelers seeking fresh ideas and unique holiday experiences.
With growing international recognition and rising visitor numbers, Sri Lanka continues to strengthen its position as a must-visit destination, offering memorable experiences for global travelers.
