The Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Tokyo, will organise a Sri Lanka Business Forum and Networking Session at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, on 26th of September 2025.
The event aims to strengthen economic ties with Japan and explore new market opportunities for Sri Lankan exporters.
Top-level representatives from Sri Lankan export-oriented companies will attend the session, which will focus on innovation, trade expansion, and forming international alliances.
The event is strategically aligned with the ongoing six-month World Expo 2025, themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” showcasing global innovation.
Japan is considered a key market for Sri Lankan firms due to its demand for high-quality products and opportunities in advanced research and development.
The forum will provide Sri Lankan businesses with valuable exposure to Japanese industry leaders, government officials, and potential joint venture partners.
The programme will include addresses by officials from both Japan and Sri Lanka, pre-scheduled B2B meetings, and a guided tour of the Expo 2025 theme park.
A networking reception will also be held to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Interested participants must submit their applications via the EDB official website by today, 23rd of July 2025.
