The government has launched a new initiative to issue driving licenses that meet international standards, addressing difficulties faced by Sri Lankans when using their licenses abroad, especially in European countries like Italy.
This program is being led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Highways.
The initiative aims to enhance the global recognition and acceptance of Sri Lankan driving licenses, making it easier for citizens to drive legally overseas.
